So we had an incredible year in this great family. From the elections to the empowerment submit, to shachah yadah, to the year one picnic, then the year one Sunday, then the core EPISTULA rap cypher, then the MNN programme and finally our super carol. 2015 was a blessing for this great family and by his grace, we kept up with the policy of every programme being an improvement on the former. So let's review them one after the other.
ELECTIONS: The elections in the chapel of restoration every year is huge and very significant because the rest of the year usually depends on how it goes. Leaders run the chapel and it was important God had his way in choosing these leaders so His work could continue in FUNAI. it was also very significant because of those that where intelligible for positions. People like the former assistant general coordinator Joy Chucks, former general secretary, Anosike Favour and a lot more due to the industrial training they were to undergo. But God had his way and people stepped up to this positions. All in all, the elections were a success and CORE had capable leaders that took the chapel to the next level.
EMPOWERMENT SUMMIT: usually our first big program every year. The empowerment submit of 2015 was unforgettable. As usual, it was hosted alongside our sister chapel, Christ the King's Chapel, EBSU and for the first time, CORE recorded more people in attendance than CKC. Held at Evangel camp okpoto, the three day program had power packed speakers like Rev Philip Chinagorom and daddy himself. The high point was the night of empowerment which was handled by daddy and at the end of the program, we were all powered for the rest of the year.
SHACHAH YADAH II: Anaga Vicsing chaired the second ever shachah yadah committee and it was a challenge on him and the committee to plan a programme that would beat shachah yadah 1. The collapse of the auditorium one week before the program. But God had His way and the program was held at the basket ball court and it turned out to be as explosive as ever. Covenant singers, davidel, God's favryt, O. OKings and Choirs from around the the school gave the program the feel of a real concert. Shachah yadah ll will be hard to beat, but that's the kind of challenge CORE trives on.
YEAR ONE PROGRAMS: A year one committee led by the ever working Norah Uzor organised power packed programs for our fresh men like the year one picnic which was held at the water works hill and the year one Sunday. This was a way helping them bed in and the committee did an extremely good job as the year one students already feel part of the big family.
MNN/CORE EPISTULA PRESENTATION: this two went together like they did last year and it was even bigger. OK, am not going to act like I know anything that happened on that day because I didn't attend and for good reason. But know God had his way and the second edition of our magazine was marvelous.
RAP CYPHER : it had never been done before and as usual, CORE was the first to pull it off. A rap cypher/competition where IX came out on top became the talk of the whole school. It was a way of raising awareness for the CORE EPISTULA magazine and by God's grace, it was a huge success. Rappers like Nino, Blu, Tadimah, Hillz, Gospel peace, Rex, Marvelous, Micky Quest, El Saint, Lady Presh and Asap Vic graced the occasion. The crowd who stood as judge was incredible and named IX their winner. It will not be forgotten in a hurry.
CORE CAROL: This is has been a tradition even before shachah yadah. The first two carols was planned by a team led by Justina Echeta, but this time Joy Obi took over and it was even better than the previous. NFCS choir was Marvelous. Dominion Life Choir was groovy. Cuz funai choir was incredible, Presbyterian choir was wonderful and the kingdom Restorers where the kingdom Restorers. Just inspiring. Performances from the CORE dynasty and rappers IX, Hillz and Lady Presh made the night a memorable one.
All In all, 2015 was a great one for chapel of restoration and we know God will make 2016 better. I really can't wait.
