CORE ELECTS NEW LEADERS

Chapel of Restoration today on the 25th of January elected new leaders for the year 2015. This election was a very significant one not because of the the people that were eligible, but those that were not!


Former assistant general coordinator Joy Chucks, former general secretary Anosike Favour, former financial secretary Ukpai Irene, former treasurer Enema peace, former evangelism coordinator, Orji Oluchi, former sister's coordinator, Echeta Justina, former assistant evangelism coordinator, Nnaji Chidinma, former Brother's coordinator, Paul Obinna and former Caleb family leader Nwogu Victor all ineligible due to the industrial training they would all be going for next semester. These people are some of the pillars God has placed in this great chapel and loosing them from the leadership team was always going to be felt! Who did God prepare to replace these people?
Okonkwo Lucyann who was the former prayer coordinator took the spot of the Assistant General coordinator. Chukwu Miracle who was voted to assist Anosike Favour last year took the place of General Secretary with the beautiful singer Ukoh Rose stepping into the leadership team as assistant, while Ogbodo Peace became the new sister's coordinator. Okezie Ruth took the place of the industrious Enema Peace as Treasurer while Okafor Hope took the place of Ukpai Irene as financial secretary. Ibiam Victor became Brother's coordinator while Theophilus Nwefuru and Ewa-udu Patience were voted as Evangelism Coordinator and Assistant respectively.
Okwute John retained the position of Genaral Coordinator while Agbo Uche remained Bible study leader. Unique Emmanuel took over as Prayer leader while Otu, Vivien remained head Usher with Nwapka Happiness assisting her. The offices of Publicity and Academic was split with Emmanuel Ozor who was assisting Ejedegba Samuel in this office taking over as Academic Coordinator with Omeh Ifesinachi as assistant while Samuel retained the position of Publicity (for the third year running!) Okorie Blessing took over Welfare and Okwor favour would be assisting her while Elemuo darlington remained in the Band with Prince Ekeh assisting him. Former Choral leader for two years, Adaeze Oyenyiri took over the position of Organizing secretary with Obi Joy and Okoro Frank assisting.
The biggest surprises came in the Choral and the drama wing. Anaga Victor Divine came back into the leadership team, this time assisting Norah Uzoamaka in the Choral wing. In the Drama wing, both Nwaneri peace and Orji Stephen stepped into the leadership team as Drama leader and assistant respectively. The position of Mission New Nigeria coordinator was retained by Adama Johnson.
Filling the shoes of the departing IT students always felt impossible, but we in Chapel of Restoration believe God has raised capable hands to move the Chapel to the next level. May His name be forever praised. We wish the new leaders God's grace in their new task ahead.
