Woah! I just had to begin this write-up with an interjection, which is well not totally acceptable in English grammar. Shocking, because, I am a student of English. But that's the effect Chapel of restoration gives, it makes you unable to conform to set standards. Alright, enough of small talk and down to business.
29th May 2016 was another Sunday to remember with the line up of same activities that appeared and went down differently. It started first with an hour of Bible study by the amiable School of Word were the church was shared accordingly to their different classes after which the general conclusion was made. "The Bible" was studied extensively. Word! (another interjection? I can't just help it) after which the moderator, a man of great height came up and took charge. The worship team was then uneventfully called up. The wonderful sister Uko Rose and her crew literally gave the church free tickets to the presence of God. What a wonder.
The intercession was more wonderful because you could see (with your spiritual eyes) that prayers were already answered. Spiritual eyes because normally, eyes were shut. Including mine. Physically. Enough rambling! The praise was led by Christian A.K.A Heaven's Dove, the songwriter and Gospel artiste. See dancing! It was spectacular as burdens were lifted and crowns were cast. It was simply unbelievable as always.
The part that almost made the service dull was the no special presentation part. Boo! But wait, the CORE drama Ministry brought out a great ministration on "pay your vows". What is more entertaining than seeing your favorite drama group perform wonders?
And as usual, the Kingdom Restorers came again to cap the part 2 of the service, part one being Bible study, let's not forget. Their ministration "Victoryyyyyy, that's my naaaaaaaame" got everyone jiving and dancing. The ovation nearly blinded, or rather blocked my ears! What a show of great talents. The Lord is indeed good in CORE.
Heaven's Dove sang the praises for the offering which was the round two of the service as regards praise. This was done after the tithes were collected and the tithers were blessed. However uneventfull this may seem, it was a vital part of the service. There is nothing that uplifts the soul more than giving to the Lord.
OK, it is time for the sermon, the part three of the service. Daddy, Barrister Nnamdi Okezie took the message "the power of the other side". The church was enlightened to vital facts such as the different sides there are, how to shift from the other side and factors that bring about a shift. Now for those of you who didn't attend service, the word for the day was "power is not in muscle but in substility". Well, I am sure everyone got their distinct word for the day. And oh! "submit to God and the devil is gonna fly away". Please note that those were my words oh.
An intercession followed suit whereby the congregation was called upon to be prayed for with regards to anyone with habits they wanted to conquer. There is no prayer more effective than the fathers prayer. It was a sight to behold giving the opportunity to be prayed for by such a great personage. If only I opened my eyes, I would see angels touching the heads of those who sincerely and humbly came out.
The first timers were welcomed afterwards towards the end of the service and were giving special seats in front and were asked to wait for their goody parks and some sweet words from favour. The song ringing in the hall was "there is looooooooove, love in the house of CORE" and that is so true because nobody loves like CORE does. The MNN programme was announced, training program and the upcoming bro/sis week, when the real love will be shown as the sisters will lovingly defeat in brothers in a football match on Saturday. I can't wait.
So basically, the service was 5 star as usual and lives were blessed as is the culture every service. What a wonderful time In the presence of God. Till next Sunday when another dose of greatness will be experienced. See Ya!
