CORE BLOG MEETS... REBEL!

So one of the reasons this interview was delayed was the difficulty in getting his pictures. Apparently, he is not a 'picture person'. But he's an extremely calm and smart young dude( believe me, I know). Chukwuka Irobi is one CORITE you have to know. So CORE BLOG had a little chat with this handsome young man and why he is so rebellious and he got to open up a lil.
NAME: chukwuka irobi
DEPT: electrical electronics engineering
STATE OF ORIGIN: imo state
LGA: mbaitolu
DOB: 30th of may

CORE BLOG : Good afternoon Chukwuma
Chucks : Good afternoon.
CB: So let's start with questions about CORE. What is the most fascinating thing that happened to you in the Chapel of restoration?
Chucks: I think what fascinates me the most is their compatibility. They all function together as a family.
CB: so what's your favorite colour?
Chucks : I don't have a favourite colour. (thinks for a while). Grey!
CB : why grey?
Chucks: it's odd.
CB: so how many languages can you speak?
Chucks: three.
CB: English, Igbo and...
Chucks: Pidgin (laughs)
CB: so how many siblings?
Chucks: four. Two sisters and two brothers
CB: where do you see yourself in eight years?
Chucks: I will definitely not be married. But I believe I will be an employer of labor.
CB: so what skill do you have?
Chucks: as for acquired skill,  can't really say any for now,  but I think i have a creative mind. I can think out something.
CB: so what skill would you like to acquire in future?
Chucks : (thinks for a veeeeeeery long time and starts repeating the question to himself) can we skip this question please? (laughs)
CB: but for you to be an employer of labor you need to own a business?
Chucks: I want to own a software firm
CB: Now you're talking. So can you create softwares?
Chucks: for now I can do the basics. Been learning a little programming. Recently I programmed a calculator or a counting machine. It was an assignment given to us though and even though I didn't finish, I think I am still in the learning process.
CB: so what about hobbies?
Chucks: I love sports. Any kind of sports. Football, Basketball, tennis, every kind.
CB: you scored against the girls during the game you had with them?
Chucks: Ya.
CB: and you are happy you scored against girls?
Chucks: (laughs) of course I am not happy. But we were supposed to trash them.
CB: favourite football team?
Chucks : Barcelona.
CB: so let me ask you a very CORE question. What is the Chaplain's name?
Chucks: Barrister Nnamdi Okezie.
CB: wow. We interviewed Vickie last week and she didn't know it. Anyway, what do you like about him?
Chucks : he's friendly. Very down to earth.
CB: do you have a mentor?
Chucks: Nope. None at all. At the moment there's no one I look up to.
CB: so what do you have to say about dating and relationships on campus?
Chucks : honestly, I don't take it seriously. I am not into it at all. It's a waste of time, energy, money.
CB: wow. So at what point would you say it's the time to get married so you can start dating?
Chucks: when the time is right.
CB: and when will that time be?
Chucks: I honestly do not know.
CB: but hope you want to get married?
Chucks: (laughs) maybe.
CB: so how was life before FUNAI?
chucks: it was fun. It was cool. There were good, bad and ugly times.
CB: so how long did you stay at home before getting admission?
Chucks: (laughs) Can we skip that question please?
CB: OK (lifts both hands up). But this is a question I would never skip. You have to share with us one shameful moment you have never shared with anyone.
Chucks: (laughs) Oh my God, I don't think I can do this. This will be on the blog right? (CB nods) so it's like I am opening my secret?
CB: we are family remember? We share everything.
Chucks: come on, I love my privacy (laughs).
CB: OK,  what about a shameful moment people know? Something embarrassing?
Chucks: OK. This was a very long time ago. I was sent on an errand, went to play football. My dad came there and started beating me from the field.
CB: (laughs) something similar has happened to me. But I am not the one being interviewed, so I am not going to share it. (whispers to chucks) mine was a video game. So let's get a bit serious. Have you noticed any improvement in yourself since you became a member of CORE?
Chucks: Well, I have started coming to church on time.
CB: (rolls its eyes) are you sure you come on time?
Chucks: (laughs) relatively.
CB: so is there anything you don't like about CORE? anything you would love to change?
Chucks : (thinks for a long time) for now nothing.
CB: what is your biggest fear?
Chucks: Going to hell fire.
CB: so how often do you read your Bible?
Chucks: sometimes. Honestly, like two, three times a week.
CB: hopefully, that is another thing CORE will improve in you.
Chucks: Amen (smiles)
CB: what's your favorite Bible verse?
Chucks: Job 19: 32.
CB: do you have a nickname we can call you?
Chucks: I have a nickname. And it's sir Cock.
CB: How did you get that name?
Chucks: it's a long story. but just to shorten it, back then I could crow like a cock.
CB: can you still do it?
Chucks : don't tell me to, cause I won't (laughs)
CB: so Sir cock thanks for the chat
Chucks: (laughs) don't start.
CB: is that what you have at the back of your shachah yadah shirt?
Sir Cock... Sorry Chucks: Nah. I have another Nick name which is Rebel.
CB: OK sir Cock Rebel. This is the last question. What is your CORE story?
Chucks: the place I stay in UNN, I worship in an interdenominational Chapel. I have never liked the idea of denomination. So when I got here, I needed an interdenominational church I could worship. Someone actually told me there was a chapel here during my post utme but I didn't know where it was when I resumed. No one told me about CORE. I just asked about this interdenominational Chapel, where do they stay? And I was told the permanent site. No one invited me, I just walked here on my own.
CB: that is nice. I feel ashamed for not reaching out to you to invite you.
Chucks: (laughs) you should be.
CB: thank you Rebel for the chat.
Chucks: you are welcome.
Notice all his pictures are the same background?
Told ya he isn't a picture person.
