You know when fashion is the main topic of discussion, our own Norah conducted the interview. So CORE BLOG got to sit and chat with this beautiful and lovely usher of ours, and we got to know a lot more about her personality, her dreams and her aspirations.

LGA: Izzi.
DEPARTMENT: political Science.
DOB: 8th March 1998
CORE BLOG: good afternoon and welcome to CORE BLOG.
VIVIENNE: Thank you.
CB: Let us start with this question. What position are you In your family?
VIVIENNE : 2nd child and 2nd daughter. We are seven in total, five ladies and two guys.
CB: how many languages can you speak?
VIVIENNE : English and Pidgin.
CB: You can't even speak your native dialect?
VIVIENNE : i can't.
CB: so you can't speak any Nigerian Language?
VIVIENNE : No I can't.
CB: so vivienne where do you see yourself in eight years?
VIVIENNE : eight years from now I see myself as...
CB: (interrupts rather rudely. We need to caution this Norah girl) we don't want to hear the convention things like getting married and having kids. We want something very unconventional.
VIVIENNE : eight years from now, I see myself practicing real politics, and using the opportunity to help the society.
CB: So apart from politics, do you have any skill?
VIVIENNE : not really. I can make hair, but not very well.
CB: you don't know how to sew? (told ya it was Norah.)
VIVIENNE : No I don't.
CB: you don't know how to make beads?
VIVIENNE: (shakes her head)
CB: don't you think you should get a skill?
VIVIENNE: I am actually interested in the bead making thing. And with time I will love to learn how to make them.
CB: So what are your Hobbies? Things you love doing?
VIVIENNE : I love reading novels and I love playing volleyball.
CB: OK. So let us come to CORE now. What's the most fascinating thing that has ever happened to you in CORE? Has there been anytime you've been wowed here in the Chapel of restoration?
VIVIENNE : more than two occasions. The first was the picnic we went for when we just arrived. And then we have the empowerment summit and finally the dinner night. All these programs really caught my attention.
CB: Do you know the chaplain's full name?
VIVIENNE : Evangelist Barrister Nnamdi Joseph Okezie.
CB: (nods proudly) do you have any mentor?
VIVIENNE : (thinks for a while before shaking her head)
CB: you don't have anybody you are looking up to?
VIVIENNE : (continues thinking)
CB: in politics at least, you should have one.
VIVIENNE : in politics that should be the former minister of petroleum. Alison Madueke.
CB: but you know she was accused of embezzlement?
VIVIENNE : it doesn't matter. Because if you were in that position, you will definitely embezzle.
CB: (laughs) can you imagine? Are you trying to say you will also embezzle money because your mentor did?
VIVIENNE : I don't know. Till we get there.
CB: what's your take on dating here on campus?
VIVIENNE : I see dating here on campus as a waste of time actually. I see it like a bondage because people in relationships don't live their lives freely, instead they live their lives to please their spouse.
CB: are you saying you aren't dating anyone here on campus?
VIVIENNE : presently, I am not.
CB: you know you still have three more years to stay in this school? What if probably in your third year, someone walks up to you...
VIVIENNE : people have been coming, but I have stuck to my beliefs.
CB: ok. So what advice can you give a girl in a relationship?
VIVIENNE : if everyone will see relationships as an avenue to be just friends, you know... take advice from each other, be there for each other, encourage each other, it will definitely make the society a better place. They shouldn't see relationships as an avenue for pre marital sex and things like that.
CB: how was your life before FUNAI?
VIVIENNE : my life before FUNAI was awesome. Because FUNAI brought me to ebonyi state and before I came here, back in PH, my life was cool.
CB: so you mean before FUNAI, you have never visited your home town?
VIVIENNE : (shakes her head)
CB: ok vivienne, you will have to share with CORE BLOG your most embarrassing moment.
VIVIENNE : (thinks for a veeeeeeery long time) actually, I love fashion a lot. So whenever I am not looking good, I feel embarrassed.
CB: (laughs and Norah falls in love). Actually, that's cool. I have never had this kind of answer before. So tell us, what is that thing you don't like about CORE?
VIVIENNE : is there anything I don't like? (thinks for a moment) if there is something I don't like then I wouldn't be here.
CB: So how often do you read your Bible?
VIVIENNE : once a day.
CB: do you believe in fasting?
VIVIENNE : I do but I hardly fast. I love food a lot (laughs)
CB: OK, do you have any nicknames?
VIVIENNE : I have always been called Bliss.
CB: are you in any wing in the church?
VIVIENNE : I am in the ushering wing.
CB: why the ushering wing? Why not maybe the prayer wing?
VIVIENNE : (laughs) because I can't pray like that. (dear Unique, if you are reading this post, you need to arrest this lady, regards).
CB: So finally, what's your CORE story?
VIVIENNE : when we just resumed last semester, my roommate and i heard about the picnic (well done year one committee) then after that picnic, I started coming. and I just really want to thank God when I came, CORE was the first place I found myself. And I know till I leave this school, I will never regret being a CORITE.
CB: thank you very much for your time Viv.
VIVIENNE : you are welcome.
