Sunday Stories (bro-sis week special edition) by Gospel Peace

Bro-sis week 2016 was a week to never forget, starting from the debate/hot service to the football match (which the girls somehow won) and then the Sunday thanksgiving service. The dinner night was the programme to round off the marvelous week and all these became a reality by the wonderful efforts put in by all members of CORE.
Down to business. The Bible study as the first order of service started after the general prayers had been said. A lot of sleepy eyes walked into the church due to the NFCS federation week programme, I guess. And then the heartbeat of God was studied at length and what a wonder to know that the heartbeat of God is souls! Souls!! Souls!!! And our full time job is reconciliation and reconciling men to God. The school of word did justice to the topic and lives where ministered to.  What a way to start begin the service. Word!

The beautiful sister favour took control of the service and became the momentary captain steering the ship, with a bright smile on her face. She moderated the service.
Our beautiful moderator.
First the worship team was called to lead the worship session led by Van Collins. (don't ask me. I also found the name puzzling, brings to mind a movie star. Van dame or van viker?) Back to the matter, the worship was as usual, rocked! And all were humbled, singing in the presence of God and worshipping his holy name. I bet Van Dame or Viker can't sing with a voice like that!
Van Collins taking us to a whole new level
After the humility came the uplift with the praise team led by brother kings. What a way to get people to loosen up in God's presence. I am sure people at the school's auditorium could hear our praise. Simply beautiful by Kings. (from Van Collins to Kings. Pretty strange names today)
The Music Director of the awesome Kingdom Restorers.
O. O. Kings.
Ahem! After the praise came the play of the Core Drama Ministry (C. D. M). The play was not only hilarious but also educational. Trust CDM, they were in point as always.

After the ministration, the Kingdom restorers came to cap it all with a wonderful song. I could hear heaven rejoicing. What a wonderful ministration led by our own God's favryt.

personally, I thought it couldn't get better but the best was yet to come. The pretty moderator came back to announce for tithe and offering collection which gives room for another round of dancing. The collections were blessed by our General in the chaplaincy, John Okwute.
After this, the main event came up with mr Peter, a guest speaker (who dances like heaven) began the sermon after a worship session (we don't ever get tired of worshipping).
After everyone settled down, he began his teaching on 'The cross'. I personally could sense his youthful nature coming out from him and as it turns out, he among many things, teaches the children class in his home church. Apparently, he uses a Cain to teach (thank Heavens we are no more children). Now grab a word people!
It is not the nails that held Jesus back on the cross, it is His love for you and me.
Woah! That touched my Brian! The sermon was extremely fun with funny jokes and witty remarks (apparently, he thought Snoop Dogg was dead). The references made to the drama was also funny but I do not think the drama coordinator found it funny.
After the sermon, the thanksgiving proper began with the sisters coming out first for their thanksgiving offering. The brothers could not stop grinning from ear to ear, admiring the dancing prowess of the ladies. After a short thanksgiving speech my the sisters coordinator, Sarah Ojong, our mother in the house, Mrs Chiaka Nnodi blessed the sisters and they went back to their seats.

Now that I see this particular picture, it's almost
Looking like an APC campaign.
Now the guys came with a blast, as in the easy general coordinator Uchechukwu Agbo was over the place and John Okwute from the chaplaincy was dancing his suit off. Emm Jay the dancer was also doing an M.J.
We honestly don't know what John Okwute is looking
For on the floor. We hope he found it though.
Now I was almost speechless when Mr Peter almost threw away the mic in excitement. They were blessed by the ever humble Mr Peter our guest speaker after a short thanksgiving speech from the Brothers' coordinator, Victor Ibiam.
Wow! What an unforgettable Sunday! Announcements were made after the recognition of first timers. Most of them from engineering department (we have been getting loads of them these days).
The general coordinator called for a meeting alongside other wing heads and then the service came to a close with the song 'I need you to survive' where hands were held in spiritual bond. I am pretty sure everyone turned their attention from that moment to the big question... Wait for it...
WHAT AM I GOING TO WEAR FOR THE DINNER NIGHT? peace out all. Till next time when I give you another mouth watering gist.
